The Parenting for Substance Abuse & Addiction Course
As career mental health professionals, experts in substance use disorders, we have worked with individuals and families for decades to overcome substance abuse & addiction. In working with the families of those who struggle with this terrible affliction, time and again, we get the same questions. Most often we are asked, 1) what can we do to help our loved one overcome this disorder and make positive changes to their lives?, and 2) is there a resource that you can offer to support and guide us in our efforts to help them change?
It is with these very questions in mind that we built this course.
We designed the Parenting for Substance Abuse & Addiction Course to provide you with as simple, clear, and straightforward a guide to understanding this complex condition, as well as how to intervene to help those you love move towards recovery.
Built upon the latest research and scientific understanding of this substance use disorders, and with decades of personal and professional experience with addiction and recovery, this course can be a resource for anyone including, caregivers, spouses, even mental health professionals, looking to expand their understanding of how addiction and recovery work, and how it is that you can become a conduit for change.
